Principles of Service Print E-mail

You can, of course, sign up for web hosting services at your leisure (pending our current service level agreement revisions). The process is nearly entirely automated and simply requires that we verify your PayPal payment for your selected hosting services. Following payment authorisation you will receive details of your hosting account and you may thereafter manage every aspect of your services yourself, at any time. If you need subsequent help with your hosting services, within the scope of your service agreement, then please refer to our customer support section.

Kindly note that if, for your hosting, you are not acquiring a new domain, then it is likely that there may be overheads and delays in either modifying the name server settings for your existing domain, or the transference of your domain to our hosting providers – which is not required, nor, in many circumstances, advised – please refer to our hosting FAQ’s for more information.

Payment Mechanisms

We use PayPal for payments excepting the instances where the client is reasonably 'local' to our offices - we also accept bank transfers. PayPal is used to both support 'remote' clinets and, since they act as a trusted, secure third party and can act as a “referee” in any dispute – the client has recourse to their services at any time.

Controlling Development

Control of any development process is the kernel around which any project has to focus. It is the only effective method of ensuring full client participation in the development life-cycle. This, necessarily, slows down the delivery process but can be used by the client to set and measure the quality of the developed service within the constraints of the agreed upon timescale and costs. For all but the simplest requirements we do insist upon the mutual creation and adherence to a project plan. It is this methodology which requires us to limit our client base, as previously stated, to ensure consistent delivery of projects within the scope of mutually agreed timescales, quality levels and costs.

As part of the development life cycle, and as the cornerstone of a project plan, we initially produce, for your consideration, a draft functional specification and proposal. Such a document is used to ensure that we have correctly identified and analysed not only your business requirement but also the methods by which these can be achieved. Again, this is done for all but the simplest requirements – such as a “static” website - and is deemed, invariably, to be a separate item of fixed price, chargeable work. The draft proposal will also contain an estimate of the project delivery costs and can thereby be used by you to budget for the project.

Service Level Agreements

All of our services are governed, as is usual, by service level agreements incorporating terms and conditions. Whilst much of the “small print” is standard, within the industry, the addenda are tailored for each client’s business requirements. That is, different criteria will apply in the cases of, for example, a remote server administration contract, and a website development contract.
